Coronado Island

Coronado island is a small island and resort town in San Diego Bay. Coronado island is approximately 7.4 square miles in size and has about 26,000 residents. Coronado island is connected to the City of San Diego by the San Diego - Coronado Bridge. Coronado island is connected to the City of Imperial Beach to the south by State Highway 75. So, although Coronado island is an island, you don't have to take a ferry or boat to get to Coronado Island.

Coronado island is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, Glorietta and San Diego bays. Coronado island is the town of the Naval Base Coronado which includes Naval Air Station North Island, home port for two aircraft carriers and the Naval Amphibious Base where the elite SEALS are trained.

Downtown Coronado island has many shops and restaurants. Ferry Landing Marketplace is a suitable starting point if you plan to explore Coronado island. From the Ferry Landing Market place, you can see the breath-taking views of downtown San Diego.
